So I’m off t the races this weekend. Actually off to my First Pro SUP Surf contest put om by Villon in Satellite Beach, Fl. I’m sponsored this year by Bishop boards out of St. Augustine and will be taking 4 boards with if anyone wants to demo one. Go paddle.
Ding repair so you have water in you’re board and need it fixed. Dry it out before you bring it to your repair guy or gal. How you say? Layers, paper towel over the hole then tape part of a plastic bag over it. Stand hole down and wait a week. To check put your stick in a warm car for an hour or so, if you still have moisture it will weep out.
Get out on the water today it’s beautiful out. I am offering coaching lessons in SUP, kayaking, ocean swim, if interested let me know,
Let’s get this year started off right. If you have a board laying around that needs to be repaired think about getting it into me soon. I’m getting busy and have limited shop space. If you have old or broken boards you don’t want donate them. I pass them on after I repair them. This year I will be posting paddling tips and board preservation tips (that one may be bad for business). Please share my stuff with your friends so I can grow.
Good morning all hope some of you are blowing off watching football and going for a paddle. Keep in mind I still make custom paddles. If you are thinking ahead hint holidaze let’s talk.
It’s no secret I prefer wooden paddles, or it wasn’t till now. They just feel better for starters. You can do more with the shape, weight, flex, and over all design. What you gain in less weight with carbon fiber not worth it here. We paddle for numerous reasons a work out is part of that reason. With wood you can get something that doesn’t look the same as the other black off the shelf stick. Oh they are made by hand by some person in your local neighborhood. At least try one.
Thanks for checking us out. Walt
